Sean McComb has had a change of plan –– not long after having his fourth pro outing confirmed.
The undefeated super-ligtweight was delighted earlier this week after it was revealed that he would fight in New York next month.
But McComb, who is back in action on October 5 at Belfast's Titanic Exhibition Centre and most recently boxed at the Arena Birmingham last weekend, is no longer on the undercard of Danny Jacobs' clash against Sergiy Derevyanchenko on October 27 at Madison Square Garden.
He had been placed on the bill, which is also set to feature Alberto Machado's defence of the WBA 'regular' super-featherweight title against Yuandale Evans and Heather Hardy's vacant WBO female featherweight title showdown against Shelly Vincent, alongside 2016 Olympian Steven Donnelly.
And though Donnelly is understood to still be on the Jacobs-Derevyanchenko bill, it has been confirmed that 26-year-old McComb will now fight earlier in the month.
'The Public Nuisance' has been switched to another Matchroom card and will now fight on October 20 in Boston, exclusively live on Sky Sports in the UK and on DAZN Stateside.
The bill, at the TD Garden, is topped by Billy Joe Saunders' WBO middleweight title defence against mandatory challenger Demetrius Andrade, while Katie Taylor defends her WBA and IBF female lightweight titles against Cindy Serrano.
Also on the bill, Tevin Farmer defends his IBF super-featherweight title for the first time against James Tennyson after signing a co-promotional pact with Matchroom's USA arm, Kid Galahad meets Toka Kahn Clary in a final eliminator for Josh Warrington's IBF featherweight title and Tommy Coyle makes his US debut against Danny O'Connor.
Scott Quigg makes a return to the ring after his defeat to Oscar Valdez back in March and there is action for Mark DeLuca, Niall Kennedy and 2016 Olympic gold medal-winning Kazakh Daniyar Yeleussinov.
