McCloskey: Prescott Fight More Dangerous Than Khan

Paul McCloskey is confident he will beat Amir Khan's conqueror Breidis Prescott in Saturday's WBA light-welterweight title eliminator but agrees that it is a "dangerous fight".

Prescott knocked out Khan inside one minute in 2008 but McCloskey remains unruffled ahead of the Belfast bout.

"He's a big hitter...but my plan is to never get hit," said McCloskey.

The Northern Ireland suffered a points defeat on cuts by Khan in a world title challenge in April.

Saturday will see McCloskey making his return to the ring and he scarcely could have chosen a more difficult opponent than Colombian Prescott.

""He's dangerous. I've studied him and I know what I need to do to beat him." added the Northern Irishman.

"This is a more dangerous fight (than the Khan bout).

"Amir didn't do a lot of damage to me even though he threw a lot of punches. This fellow is a more lethal puncher and I'll not be taking any chances."
