Mayweather Sr: Canelo Will Look Like a Sparring Partner

FLOYD MAYWEATHER SR  believes his son will make Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez look like a “sparring partner.”

Mayweather Jr challenges for Alvarez’s WBA Super and WBC light-middleweight title in Las Vegas on Saturday, live and exclusive in the UK on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/Virgin Ch. 546).

The boxing great's dad returned to his son’s side earlier this year, training him for May’s win over Robert Guerrero after 13 years in exile.

Mayweather Sr, who also had a spell training Ricky Hatton told Las Vegas Review Journal: “Canelo, he ain’t no problem.

“My son was sharp when he fought Robert Guerrero and he’s sharper for this fight.

“How’s Canelo going to beat my son? Floyd’s faster. Floyd’s smarter. Floyd’s more experienced and in tremendous condition.

“So how’s Canelo gonna beat him.? Canelo’s gonna wind up like a sparring partner.”

Mayweather v Alvarez is live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/Virgin Ch. 546) this Saturday night.  Join at www.boxnation.com
