Max Ornelas, Leopoldo Martinez To Collide in Burbank, California

Two bantamweights square off in a clash of unbeaten fighters Saturday night.

Max Ornelas will face Leopoldo Martinez in a six round bout at the Marriott Hotel in Burbank, California.

Ornelas (8-0, with 3 KOs), who hails from Las Vegas, won a six round unanimous decision over veteran Pedro Melo in his last bout on March 11. Saturday night will be Ornelas' ninth fight since turning pro on June 10, one day before his 18th birthday.

Martinez (6-0, with 3 KOs) will be fighting for the first time outside his hometown of Laredo, Texas. In his last bout on February 10, Martinez won a four round unanimous decision over Brandon Labato.

Martinez's fight against Ornelas will be his first scheduled six round bout.

In the co-feature, hard-hitting junior bantamweight Ricardo Sandoval (6-1, 6 KOs) faces Leonardo Reyes in a six round bout.

Sandoval, who resides in Riverside, will be fighting for the first time in the United States after fighting mostly in the Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. Sandoval has yet to score a victory over a fighter with a winning record.

Reyes (6-12, 2 KOs), lost his first seven fights as a pro, but has won three of his last five bouts.

Adam Ochoa (5-0, 3 KOs) and Adan Ochoa (2-0, 2 KOs) will square off in a four round bout of unbeaten featherweights.

Unbeaten Humberto Rubalcaba (5-0, 4 KOs) will face Cesar Martinez (4-5-2, 1 KO) in a four round featherweight bout.

Three more fights round out the Rebel T Promotions/ Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions card.
