The 10 round bout headlined a three-bout beIN Sports broadcast.

Otieno (31-12, 13 KOs), who resides in Nairobi, Kenya, had won three of his last four bouts. He was moving up from the junior bantamweight division, where he is ranked number 14 by the WBA.

Another Las Vegas resident, hard-hitting junior lightweight Randy Moreno, also appeared on the broadcast. Moreno won a unanimous decision over Fatiou Fassinou in an eight round bout. All three judges had it 80-71 for Moreno.

Moreno (11-1, 9 KOs) has won his last three bouts by knockout since being stopped by Thomas Herrera on Mar. 11.

Coming into this fight, Fassinou (28-8-3, 15 KOs) had lost three of his last four bouts, all occurring this year. The 31-year-old southpaw is originally from the West African country of Benin and resides in Fort Washington, Maryland.

In the opening bout of the beIN Sports broadcast, bantamweight Joshua Greer Jr. (15-1-1, 7 KOs) put away Yaqub Kareem (14-8-1, 8 KOs) within four rounds of a bout that was scheduled for eight.

Greer is best known for scoring a highlight-reel knockout of James Smith on Mar. 10. Coming in to this bout, Kareem has lost his last three bouts and four of his last five.
