According to a report in The Philippine Star, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao wants guarantee of $28 million for a fourth fight with Juan Manuel Maruqez. Pacquiao advised the media in General Santos City that a lot of money would have to be on the table for a fourth Marquez meeting. Pacquiao won a twelve round majority decision over Marquez on November 16th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but a lot of observers scored the fight for Marquez.

For their third meeting, Marquez was guaranteed $5 million, and Pacquiao around $20 million. Both made substantially more from the gate and pay-per-view revenue.

Next week, Pacquiao's promoter, Top Rank's Bob Arum, will arrive in the Philippines to discuss the Filipino star's next opponent for May or June of this year. Arum will present a list with four options. The four options will include Timothy Bradley, Miguel Cotto, Lamont Peterson and Marquez.
