Luke Campbell will not rush into a decision on his boxing future after striking gold at the Olympic Games.

Thousands of people packed Hull's Queen Victoria Square to welcome home the 24-year-old following his victory in the bantamweight division at London 2012.

Campbell's success capped a glittering amateur career which has also yielded a world championship silver, European championship gold and two senior ABA titles.

Such a pedigree will have professional promoters hammering at his door but Campbell will reflect on his achievements before deciding his next step.

"Obviously the Olympics come round once every four years, it gets all the exposure and is the biggest tournament on the planet," he told Sky Sports News.

"I would've traded all the tournaments in just for this one. I like the idea of another Olympics - this one sparked all the atmosphere back home and it was fantastic.

"But yes, I'm going to look at the options, sit down with the family and take my time with everything. There's a decision to be made and I won't be rash."
