Luis Lazarte Pleased and Can't Wait To Fight Casimero

By Nicholas Samuilov, notifight.com

As previously reported, the former flyweight world champion of the IBF, Argentine Luis "El Mosquito" Lazarte (49-10-2-1, 18 KOs) will face Philippine fighter Johnriel Casimero (15-2, 9 KOs) for the interim-IBF flyweight title on Friday February 10 at the stadium of Club Eleven States of Mar del Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Lazarte has confirmed the fight and he's eager to fight Casimero.

"It's totally confirmed. I will fight for the IBF world title on Feb. 10 against Casimero," Lazarte said. "I'm training very hard to get in the best shape possible to regain the title. I am very happy. I will again have the chance to become world champion at my age. When I fight on February 10, its going to be less than a month from my 41st birthday (Ed note: March 4), so you can imagine how I feel. This does not happen every day."
