Luis Arias, Caleb Truax, Carson Jones Get Big Knockout Wins

Wisconsin Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Middleweight prospect Luis 'Cuba' Arias (16-0, 8KOs) continued his streak of wins with a hometown stoppage of  Darryl Cunningham (33-9) in the fourth round.

It was the second fight in a row in this venue for Arias, who back on June 4 knocked out Jorge Silva in the third round. That was Arias' first fight in his hometown as a pro.

Arias dominated Cunningham from the first bell and then broke him down for the finish in the fourth to claim the vacant USBA middleweight championship.

“It means the world to me,” Arias said of winning the match to the Wisconsin Press. “As a kid all I wanted was to be a world champion. ... I’m going in the right direction toward it.”

“I knew from the jump I was in tip-top shape. From the first round I could tell he was just trying to survive.”

Also on the Seconds Out Promotions card, super middleweight Caleb Truax (27-3-2, 17 KOs) knocked out Zachariah Kelley (5-16 1 NC, 5 KOs) at 1:11 of the second round.

Tough junior middleweight contender Carson Jones (39-11-3, 29 KOs) put away Starr Johnson (5-24-1, 4 KOs) at 1:38 of the second round.
