Sands Casino Resort, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania - Although he appeared to be dominated over twelve rounds, Prenice Brewer (16-2-1, 6KOs) was 100% positive that he won a decision over rising contender Ronald Cruz (17-0, 12KOs). All three judges saw it 118-110.
"He may have landed more power shots. But he hit me one time and I hit him three times," Brewer vented.
After he was advised that trainer Freddie Roach, at ringside as an expert analyst for the live NBC Sports broadcast, scored the fight in favor of Cruz by a lopsided margin - Brewer ripped Roach and his number one fighter, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao.
"Freddie, Pacquiao on steroids, I don't know what hell you up here talking about," Brewer said.
A moment later in the interview, Brewer vented again in the direction of Roach unprovoked.
"I feel like I won, I outboxed the kid. It's a twelve round fight. I give him five [rounds]. That means I got seven. You've seen the fight. Freddie, Pacquiao on steroids and he off it now and he look like sh*t," Brewer said.
