Klimov Edges John Molina, Ennis Decisions Hanshaw

Little Creek Casino Resort, Shelton, Washington - In a junior welterweight contest, John Molina (25-3, 20KOs) was unable to overcome the more active Andrey Klimov (16-0, 8KOs), who secured a ten round majority decision victory. The scores were 95-95 for the draw, 97-93 and 96-94 for Klimov.

Klimov was displaying the better boxing skills, but Molina was landing the harder punches. Klimov was active with his jab and using quick, but not exactly deadly punches, to keeps scoring on the incoming Molina. Klimov was certainly the more active fighter and at times he was outworking Molina with a 10-1 punch ratio.

A battle of super middleweights saw Farah Ennis (21-1, 12KOs) come from behind to win a ten round unanimous decision over Anthony Hanshaw (23-3-2, 14KOs). Ennis started slow, but found his groove in the mid rounds and began to stage a big late rally, which included a knockdown in the tenth. The scores were 95-94, 96-93, 96-93.

97-94 Klimov It was indeed refreshing to see the lesser-known fighter get the decision he deserved.
