Undefeated crusierweight Lateef Kayode -- coming off his career-best victory over Matt Godfrey in June on ShoBox -- looks to capitalize on his big win, fighting next on Aug. 27 or Sept. 5, possibly against Brian Minto.

"As we look at our possible opponents, seasoned fighters who have been in with the best, Minto is on a short list of opponents we'd love to fight," said Steve Feder, Kayode's manager. "He's experienced at both heavyweight, and cruiser. We think it would be a great match. We hope Brian will step up and take the challenge."

While Minto would represent a "good step up fight", according to the 28-year-old Kayode's trainer Freddie Roach, the Nigerian-born power-puncher has his eyes one of his biggest critics.

"It's clear that Antonio Tarver has no intentions of fighting us," Feder continued. "We respectfully challenged him and never got a response other then being told by our promoter (Gary Shaw) that Tarver would never take that fight. I like Tarver, but he's been highly critical of Lateef when on ShoBox and Lateef would like to give him a chance to critique him up close and personal in the ring."

"No matter, 2011 leading into 2012 will be a very interesting year."
