Kayode vs Drozd Clash in Discussion For November 4th

By Luke Furman

There are ongoing discussions to matach Grigory Drozd (35-1, 25 KOs) against Lateef Kayode (18-0-1, 14 KOs), likely for the vacant IBO cruiserweight title, according to the Russian boxer's manager/promoter Vladimir Hryunov.

Hryunov has been talking with Kayode's promoter, Gary Shaw, regarding a potential fight on the 4th of November in Kemerovo - a city on the Asian side of Russia.

However, there is some concern after recent reports surfaced that Kayode was involved in a physical confrontation with a trainer and there could be criminal charges coming.

What happened to discussings about Lateef and Roy Jones fighting for the IBO Title. The fans want Lateef vs RJ. Nobody wants to see Lateef vs Drozd. All that RJ has done for boxing....he deserves a shot at that title…

Sending Kayode to Siberia (that's where kemerovo is) is too harsh punishment for Lateef hitting his trainer , c'mon guys :(

I, too, like me a little Lateef. :headbang:

What a great fight! This promises fireworks during the build up, in the fight & post fight. I love Lateef Kayode, the guy is so unintentionally hilarious.
