BoxingScene.com has been advised by Gary Shaw Productions matchmaker John Benati that a Sept. 9 ShoBox card has been set, headlined by a super bantamweight bout between Chris Avalos and Jhonatan Romero, to take place "possibly" in the state of Washington.

The 21-year-old Avalos (19-1, 15 KOs) is coming off a 10-round unanimous decision victory over Khabir Suleymanov on ShoBox in June. The Colombian-based Romero (18-0, 11 KOs) made his American debut in June with a six-round decision victory over Cecilio Santos.

The co-feature is slated to involve undefeated cruiserweight power-puncher Lateef Kayode (17-0, 14 KOs), possibly against Ryan Coyne (17-0, 6 KOs).
