BoxingScene.com has heard that a doubleheader is taking shape for HBO's date of March 27. The main event would feature IBF super featherweight champion Robert Guerrero moving up in weight to fight the WBO's interim-lightweight champion Michael Katsidis. Because Juan Manuel Marquez is in deep discussions to fight WBA 140-pound champion Amir Khan in May, Katsidis will likely get elevated to full champion status by the time this fight comes around.

There is some discussion about a possible junior welterweight co-feature between the two highest ranked contenders under the WBA, interim-champion Marcos Maidana and unbeaten Victor Cayo. Maidana's name has been connected with a few other fights. Promoter Gary Shaw is still trying to reach an agreement with Golden Boy Promotions for Maidana to fight WBC champion Timothy Bradley. And several sources have told me a Maidana vs. Zab Judah fight is also being kicked around.
