K9 Bundradge To Face Jermall Charlo on July 25th

By Ryan Burton

BoxingScene.com has been advised that Cornelius "K9" Bundrage will defend his IBF super welterweight title against his undefeated mandatory challenger Jermall Charlo (21-0, 16KOs) on July 25th at a venue to be determined. The fight will be part of Al Haymon's Premier Boxing Champions  series.

Bundrage won the title for the second time in his career in October when he out-pointed Carlos Molina in Mexico. Charlo was in action in March, dominating Michael Finney over ten rounds. He was active in 2014, winning three times with a knockout of Lenny Bottai, a knockout of Norberto Gonzalez and a stoppage of Hector Munoz.

The venue and the rest of the televised card should be announced soon.

How did you come to this conclusion? Bradley was suppose to fight K9 too. He and Cotto passed. K9 doesn't want to fight a 6'0+ fighter like Jermall or Andrade.
I can get behind this. Hopefully Jermall doesn't fight tentative, he needs to make old K9 work.
I really like the fight myself. 154 has a lot of talent and the division really needs to start sorting **** out.
Now I forget. Is this the exciting Charlo or the boring one?
Guess that depends on what you mean by excitement, but this is the one that knocks people out. This is an interesting fight. I hav'nt been overly impressed…
