Juanma vs. Vazquez: Jonathan Oquendo Added To The Card

The always exciting fighter Puerto Rican Jonathan ' Polvo ' Oquendo will be back in the ring Saturday, October 29 from the Roberto Clemente Coliseum of San Juan as comain event of 'GUERRA EN EL CLEMENTE', which will have in its main event ex-world champions Wilfredo ‘Papito' Vázquez, Jr. and Juan Manuel 'Juanma' Lopez, who finally will have their long-awaited battle.

"I am so happy to be part of this great event because I have not fought in Puerto Rico for four years and I hope I can be active to keep proving that I can be among the best of my division. On the 29th of October in the Clemente, I'll be ready", said Jonathan Oquendo.  "The Black Tiger Promotions' team informed me that my fight will be a war between Mexico and Puerto Rico and those fights are the ones that I like, and we know that the public love them too", Oquendo added.

Carlos Maldonado, President of Black Tiger Promotions, stated that “we have three Mexicans in line to fight with Oquendo, and as soon we finished negotiations we will officially announce the selected opponent."

Jonathan Oquendo has losses from ' Juanma ' López and Wilfredo Vázquez, but understands that the outcome of a rematch against either of the two will be different.  "I have great respect for 'Juanma' and 'Papito'.   They are good guys, nothing personal, but who better to give the fans a war in the Clemente in a rematch?", Oquendo said.  "I understand that it would be a huge fight if I face with winner because I am mad for those losses.  No matter what happens, I'll be ready in the rematch", Oquendo concluded.

Jonathan Oquendo is a very tough competitor, who recently has a KO victory over legendary Johnny González and also hard fought losses against Abner Mares and Jesús Cuéllar.

The event 'GUERRA EN EL CLEMENTE' will also have the participation of WBC Fecarbox super lightweight champion Yomar ‘The Magic' Alamo, the ex Olympian from London 2012, Jantony Ortiz, Jelame Garcia, Jomar Robles, Joseph Torres, Emil 'White' González, and many others.
