Juan Manuel Lopez, the former world featherweight and super bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), will not rule out a possible fight with Celestino "Pelenchín" Caballero, the WBA's "regular" featherweight champion. Over the last few years, Juanma and Caballero have exchanged a lot of words. Negotiations were attemped, and failed, several times. Juanma hopes to get a rematch with Orlando Salido in early 2012.

"Right now we are resting. I'm spending time with my kids and I'll resume my training on November 1 for a possible rematch with Orlando Salido in January or February. I'm willing to fight anyone, whether it's Jhonny Gonzalez, Yuriorkis Gamboa or another opponent, but I won't rule out a fight with Caballero and it can happen at any time if the offer is good. This is a business and the fight didn't happen before for various reasons."
