Juan Carlos Reveco Grabs Decision Win Over Teran

By Elisinio Castillo

Salón del Sindicato de Químicos y Petroquímicos, Bahia Blanca, Buenos Aires, Argentina - Mendoza's Juan Carlos "Coton" Reveco (36-2, 19 KOs) grabbed a victory by way of unanimous decision over Venezuelan Breilor "Golden Zulanito" Teran (14-13-1, 7 KO) in a non-title bout over ten rounds.

Reveco controlled the fight and dominated the action, launching high volume attacks with straight right hands and his trademark left hook. However, the experienced and crafty opponent, who remained in role of a counter puncher, kept a tight guard all night and wouldn't engage too often.

The judges scored it 100-90, 100, 90 and 99-91.

Reveco is now in line to face the flyweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Kazuto Ioka, who on Sunday in Japan will defend his belt against Roberto "Incho" Sosa in eastern Osaka.

Ioka won a close twelve round majority decision over Reveco on the 31st of December.
