IBF, WBA junior welterweight champion Josh Taylor would have no problem with the idea of moving up to the welterweight division to fight WBO world champion Terence Crawford.

Crawford returns on Saturday night, when he makes a voluntary defense against former IBF champion Kell Brook at the MGM Grand's Conference Center in Las Vegas.

Taylor is heading to a full division unification with WBC, WBO junior welterweight champion Jose Ramirez in 2021.

The winner of Taylor-Crawford would certainly be positioned as the next opponent for Crawford - should he beat Brook this weekend.

“I would take a fight with Crawford tomorrow. And I believe I could beat him as well. I don’t think he’s unbeatable," Taylor told Talk Sport.

Brook has two defeats on his record - stoppage wins at the hands of Errol Spence and Gennady Golovkin. The Sheffield fighter was competitive in both fights, suffering a fractured orbital bone in each contest.

Taylor believes too many of the experts are writing Brook off.

While he picks Crawford to win the fight, by decision, he believes Brook will make it a real fight.

“I think Kell – everybody’s writing him off – I don’t think anybody should write him off. Kell is a very good fighter, he’s massive for welterweight and he’s a serious puncher as well. People give him stick for the two fights that he’s lost, but look at the two people that he’s lost against.

“Two absolute monsters. He took some serious damage in those fights as well and still did really well. I’m not writing Kell off, I think he can pull it off. It will probably be a Crawford points win, but I do think Kell gives him a run for his money and gives him a hard time.”
