There is a strong possibility welterweight contender Josesito Lopez could return to the ring by the end of the summer, Thompson Boxing Promotions General Manager/ Matchmaker Alex Camponovo told Boxingscene.com last week.
In his last fight on April 24, Lopez stopped Aron Martinez in the fifth round in Rancho Mirage, CA. The bout was a co-promotion between Thompson Boxing and Goossen Tutor, both of which promote Lopez.
Lopez could fight on another co-promotion show between the two, or even on a Golden Boy card, as was the case in his December win over Mike Arnaoutis in Indio, CA.
Lopez (32-6, 19 KOs) is advised by Al Haymon, who mostly advises fighters on the Golden Boy or Mayweather Promotions rosters.
