Joseph Parker's Coach: Anthony Joshua's Style is Perfect For Us!

WBA, IBO, IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is being lined up for a future bout by Joseph Parker, who holds the WBO title, after he defeated mandatory challenger Hughie Fury on Saturday.

Joshua gets in the ring with Kubrat Pulev in late October in his first fight since beating Wladimir Klitchsko in their stunning Wembley Stadium bout earlier this year.

And despite his showdown with the Bulgarian still being more than a month away, jostling has already started to become the Londoner's next opponent.

Parker is keen to fight Joshua and his trainer Kevin Barry thinks the New Zealander has the right style to do the business in any bout that is made.

Barry told 5 Live Boxing: “We’re in a very good position, we’ve just got our mandatory (Hughie Fury) out of the way against a horrible opponent. One I didn’t want to fight.

“Now we are free to chose a style and opponent that suits Joseph. That makes me and our team really excited.

“Obviously the golden goose is Anthony Joshua and we thought 18 months ago we would be stepping into the ring with him.

“I think Joseph matches up very well against Joshua and styles make fights. I’ve also thought his particular style will suit us. That’s a fight we would love to be involved in.

“Anthony Joshua’s style is perfect for Joseph Parker and we’ll be very excited when that day comes.”

American fighter Deontay Wilder holds the WBC title, and any unification of the other titles could lead to a mega showdown for an undisputed world champion of the heavyweight division.
Is it just me or does Parker look significantly smaller than AJ? I don't know how much weight he would be giving away but he looks like a smaller human being. It is one of them instances when one heavyweight…
Joshua is too busy chasing broads drinking and getting high on weed to train serious enough for a guy like Parker.
Haha made my day!
