Frank Espinoza, best known for managing the likes of Martin Castillo and Israel Vazquez in the past,  has added to his stable of boxers by signing 2016 Mexican Olympian Joselito Velazquez to a contract.

Espinoza told BoxingScene.com on Tuesday afternoon - "He went to the Rio Olympics, he had over 200 amateur fights, he represented Mexico. He lost in the second round but I personally feel that out of all the fighters that represented Mexico he was the best technical fighter with a professional style. He has a great left-hook to the body."

The established manager has had great success with fighters out of Mexico, in addition to the aforementioned Castillo and Vazquez, Espinoza currently handles the career of WBO featherweight titlist Oscar Valdez who participated in two Olympic Games - and his fighter Jessie Magdanelo goes for a world title on the Manny Pacquiao-Jessie Vargas PPV card by challenging WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire.

On the promotional end, Velazquez - who is a flyweight - will work with Mr. Akihiko Honda of Teiken Promotions. Espinoza is very pleased to be working with Honda's company.

"We're going to be working with Teiken, he's at a lower weight division and Teiken does a great job with fighters like 'Chocolatito' (Roman Gonzalez), (Carlos) Cuadras, so I personally feel this is going to be the best situation. Mr. Honda and I have come to an agreement to work with Joselito."

Espinoza says an announcement will be forthcoming on the pro debut of Velasquez.
