Boxing returns to the Inland Empire of Southern California as Thompson Boxing presents another fight card on Friday, September 26.

In the main event, lightweight Jose Roman will fight Brian Ramirez in a likely eight round main event bout at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Calif.

in his last bout on May 16, Roman (17-1-1, 12 KOs) survived three knockdowns in the first round to win a close 10 round unanimous decision over Luis Solis.

He has won his last three bouts in a row since his only defeat at the hands of Robert Osiobe in December of 2012.

Ramirez (10-4, 5 KOs) has not fought since February of last year, when he won an eight round technical decision over fringe contender Gilbert Sanchez-Leon in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico.

Prior to that bout in May of 2012, Ramirez lost by knockout in the second round to unheralded Guadalupe Ramirez.

Thompson Boxing will announce the rest of the card at a later date.
