Jose Felix's Next Opponent is Nearly in Place For 6/13

By Francisco Salazar

Lightweight contender Jose Felix will return to action on June 13, Top Rank matchmaker Bruce Trampler told BoxingScene.com.

Felix will fight in a 10 round bout at the Florentine Gardens in Hollywood, Calif. The bout will headline a ‘Solo Boxeo Tecate’ card and will be televised on UniMas, beginning at 11 p.m. ET/ PT.

Trampler would not confirm an opponent that reportedly took the fight, explaining contracts have not yet been signed.

Felix (29-1-1, 24 KOs) is coming off a first round knockout win over Raymond Sermona on March 7 in Macau, China. He has now won his last three bouts in row since suffering his only defeat at the hands of Bryan Vasquez in April of 2012.

The June 13th card will be the second at the famed Florentine Gardens within a two week span. Top Rank will also promote a ‘Solo Boxeo Tecate’ card this coming Saturday night. In the main event, unbeaten lightweights Saul Rodriguez (16-0-1, 13 KOs) and Antonio Capulin (14-0, 6 KOs) will square off in an eight round bout.

UniMas will also televise Saturday’s card, beginning at 11 p.m. ET/ PT.
