Jose Felix Will Return To Action on January 30th

By Steve Kim

Lightweight contender Jose Felix Jr. is looking for bigger and better things in 2016. He will kick off the next year on January 30th.

"That's the date of our next fight. Top Rank just let us know,"said Oscar Valdez, who advises the 23-year old from Los Mochis, Mexico, who has a record of 32-1-1(25 KO's)."We don't have an opponent, yet, but we'll be ready regardless. I think the fight will be somewhere in the Los Angeles area."

This card will be televised as part of the 'Solo Boxeo' series on UniMas.

"We're ready to go, Jose got into town last week and he's been training. Jose wants to get into the mix with some of the other Top Rank fighters like Felix Verdejo, Saul Rodriguez and Jose Ramirez. He'd love to face any of them by next year. Those would be really good fights."

Felix last fought on September 19th, scoring a ten round decision over Marcos Jimenez at the Sportsman's Lodge in Studio City, California.
