Jose Felix Pumped For Return, Hopes To Get Terry Flanagan

By Steve Kim

Jose Felix, the third ranked lightweight in the WBO, faces Rob Frankel this Saturday night from the Churchill County Fairgrounds in Fallon, Nevada as part of the 'Solo Boxeo' telecast on UniMas.

Felix, who has a record of 33-1-1 (25 KO's) is itching for a shot at the title.

"I've been ready for awhile. I'm going to try my best out there on Saturday. I don't care what organization, WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, I'm just ready to do. I want to go to the next level,"said the 24-year old from Los Mochis, Mexico earlier this week.

And like many other 135-pounders, he's targeting a certain belt-holder.

"I'd like to fight Terry Flanagan, who's fought some great opponents," said Felix of the WBO titlist."I know I could beat him so I'd love that opportunity. I'm ready for any fighter."

Felix has been out of action since January 30th where he eked past Ricky Susmundo over ten rounds in a fight where he suffered a slightly fractured right hand.
