By Rafael Soto

A welterweight clash has been finalized between Jorge ¨Maromerito¨ Páez Jr. and Juan Urango for June 8th at Foro Promocasa-Palenque del Fex in Mexicali, Mexico. Páez Jr. (34-4-1, 20 KOs) vs. Urango (24-3-1, 19 KOs) will headline a night of televised boxing on Azteca 7, and the event will be promoted by Zanfer Promotions and TT Boxing. Urango, a former junior welterweight champion who fought the likes of Ricky Hatton, Devon Alexander and Andre Berto - returned to action in 2012 after a two year layoff. He fought once in Mexico, and once in Colombia, scoring knockout victories in both contests.
Paez Jr is a talented lazy @ss, he should be fighting at 140, even 135. He looked slow and fat in his last fight.
Amen to that!

Didn't Teddy Atlas once say that Urango retired and went back to Columbia to become a Pig Farmer or something. I guess he has had enough.

Cool shit. Urango's my boy, so I'm just glad to see him getting back into things. He might not beat the slicksters at 147, but put him in against guys who come to fight like Bradley, Guerrero, Provodnikov, Khan, Maidana…
