Jonathan Gonzalez Inks Agreement With Al Haymon

By Rick Reeno

BoxingScene.com has been informed that unbeaten junior middleweight/middleweight contender Jonathan Gonzalez (18-0-1, 14KOs) of Puerto Rico has signed an agreement with influential adviser/manager Al Haymon. Earlier today, BoxingScene reported that Haymon signed super bantamweight/featherweight contender Jorge Lara (25-0, 17KOs) of Mexico.

Gonzalez, an Olympian for Puerto Rico, is promoted by Warriors Boxing and his legal adviser is Gaby Penagaricano. He was last seen in action on May 1, winning a ten round decision over Rogelio Medina, who recently scored a big upset by knocking out J'Leon Love in three rounds.

Haymon, with well over 100 fighters under contract, also works with Floyd Mayweather Jr., Adrien Broner, Robert Guerrero, Marcos Maidana, Erislandy Lara, Lucas Matthysse, Danny Garcia, Peter Quillin, Adonis Stevenson, Amir Khan, Omar Figueroa, Leo Santa Cruz, Abner Mares, Chad Dawson, Deontay Wilder, Rances Barthelemy, the Charlo brothers and many, many others.

This Gonzalez is a fat lethargic slob..The only thing he'll probably win a title is in a eating contest.

This dude is kind of lethargic in the ring but he's got some talent. Always shows up chubby. He could be a late bloomer if he were whipped into shape..a decent fight I could see vs a Charlo brother

Gonzales is really a good fighter. Hope this helps his career...he has the potential to make some noise.
