Ron Johnson, president and chief fighter of American Dream Promotions contacted BoxingScene.com to say that he is willing to pay "Bad" Chad Dawson up to $3 million dollars to secure a fight with the WBC-interm and IBO light heavyweight champion. Johnson said that the team of his investors, headed by Carlos Slim and Hank Peters will be more than willing to make the sizeable investment. Once negotiations have started they will look for a neutral venue. American Dream is also in negotiations with HBO to televise the bout.
In other news Johnson says that his company does not owe Joel Casamayor $10,000 for his fight last month under the American Dream banner. Casamayor is claiming that he wasn't paid in full but Johnson said it isn't problem of his company, because Casamayor came in overweight and lost his money on the scales.
