MGM Grand, Las Vegas - As part of the non-televised portion of the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao undercard, rising super middleweight contender Jesse Hart (17-0, 14KOs) beat down Mike Jimenez (17-1, 11KOs) round after around until referee Tony Weeks had seen enough and stopped the fight during the sixth as Jimenez was about to go down.
"I want to be the first big star on truTV. after the fight Bob Arum told our team we will be fighting in main event on truTV in Philadelphia or Atlantic City in July," Hart said.
"I trained at Joe Hand's Gym on 3rd and Green for this fight. My trainer the legendary Fred Jenkins and my dad Cyclone Hart had been me working on counter punching and body work for this fight. we knew we were in tough tonight against Mike Jimenez but we got the job done.
"I have 3 title belts - NABF, NABO and USBA. But I want a world title so bad. It's all I think about. It drives me."
