Jermaine Franklin Decisions Craig Lewis at Motor City Casino

Heavyweight Jermaine Franklin remained unbeaten late Friday night, winning by unanimous decision over Craig Lewis at the Motor City Casino in Detroit, Michigan.

The taller Lewis used his height and reach effectively, but Franklin was the sharper fighter, connecting more consistently with combinations to the head and body.

Scores were 98-92, 98-92, and 99-91 for Franklin, who improves to 17-0, 13 knockouts.

The 24-year-old Franklin, who resides in nearby Saginaw, also has victories Ed Fountain and Akhror Muralimov.

Lewis, who resides in Detroit, drops to 14-3-1, 8 KOs.

In an upset on paper, middleweight Dorrell Van Horn Jr. (10-1, 6 KOs) of Detroit won a 10 round split decision over previously-unbeaten Winfred Harris, Jr.

One judge scored the bout 96-94 for Harris, while the other two judges scored the bout 96-94 for Van Horn, who had not fought since a four round decision loss to gatekeeper Henry Beckford almost two years ago.

Harris, who also resides in Detroit, falls to 17-1, 9 KOs.

Heavyweight Rydell Booker won a six round unanimous decision over 45-year-old Domonic Jenkins, who drops to 15-12-2, 7 KOs.

Scores were 58-56, 58-56, and 59-55 for Booker, who has won his all three fights in 2018. Prior to this year, Booker had not fought since losing a 12 round unanimous decision to James Toney in September of 2004.

Light heavyweight Anthony Barnes won a six round unanimous decision over Dwayne Williams (6-9-1, 3 KOs). Scores were 59-54, 58-55, and 57-56 for Barnes, who improves to 11-0, 8 KOs.

Former fringe middleweight contender Darryl Cunningham (39-9, 16 KOs) stopped Daniel Craycraft (15-26-4, 2 KOs) at 2:14 of the third round. Cunningham has won his last six bouts since his fourth round knockout loss to Luis Arias in August of 2016.
