Jean Pascal (28-2-1, 17KOs) disagrees with the experts who state the boxer has a weight advantage over Lucian Bute (31-1, 24KOs).

Bute moves up in weight, to 175-pounds, to face Pascal in a huge all-Canadian showdown at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Pascal has been at the weight since 2009 and held the WBC title. Bute has spent the majority of his career at 168-pounds, where he held the IBF championship.

“He’s taller. That means he can carry more weight than me,” Pascal stated to the Montreal Gazette. “They’re trying to say the weight issue will be a factor for me. It’s not an advantage for me. It’s an advantage for Bute. He was able to train with more water in the body, more energy. He doesn’t need to fight to make weight. That’s a big plus.”
