Jazza Dickens vs. Nathaniel May on July 12, ESPN+

By Elliot Foster

MTK Global will return to Liverpool in the summer.

The promotional outfit was last in the city last month when Jazza Dickens became mandatory for the Commonwealth featherweight title with a fifth-round stoppage win over Nasibu Ramadhan at the Eventim Olympia.

They previously hadn’t been since July last year when Nick Ball stopped Brian Phillips inside two rounds at Greenbank Sports Academy.

But they have already booked another date in at the West Derby Road setting and will be back at the Olympia on July 12.

The card will be streamed exclusively live in the UK on iFL TV and shown Stateside on ESPN+.

And it will be the aforementioned Dickens who will feature on the bill again.

The former WBA Super world super-bantamweight title challenger will take on Australia’s Nathaniel ‘Cheeky’ May for the vacant IBF European title at featherweight.

“I’m buzzing to have momentum and this activity will bring the best out of me when I step in there on the night,” Dickens, who recently inked a managerial deal with former WBC cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew, said of his return.

“MTK Global has done a great job and have been an absolute pleasure to work with. They’re great for boxing because they’re honest, straight-forward and hard-working.

“I’ve had a short rest with my family & friends and now we are ready to go again.”

May (20-1, 11 KOs) was last in action at the Titanic Exhibition Centre in Belfast and is looking to add to his title collection by beating Dickens

He said: “Boxing is massive in the UK so to be back there fighting in a title fight is a big deal for me and I’m really excited.

“I’ve got to respect Jazza because if you don’t respect someone like him, you’re in for a shock.

“This is going to be a great fight for the fans. We can go to war but whatever happens, I’ll be up for the challenge.”
