STEPHEN SMITH has been offered another crack at a world title.
The Liverpool super-featherweight could face WBA champion Jason Sosa on November 12 in Monaco.
Smith, 31, has yet to agree to the fight but he is set for talks with promoter Eddie Hearn about the possibility of his second world title shot.
Hearn said: “I’ve got to talk to him now. We are looking to do a show in Monaco on November 12 which we will announce next week.
“Stephen was always going to box on it but now there is the potential to fight Jason Sosa who just won the WBA title. We are going to have a chat and see if he will take it but he probably will.”
Smith lost his first world title shot earlier this year on points after a spirited display against IBF super-featherweight champion Jose Pedraza.
He returned to the ring with a win over Daniel Brizuela in May at Goodison Park.
But now he could get another chance to join brother Liam as the fighting family’s second world champion.
Liam lost his WBO light-middleweight crown against Saul Alvarez last week, but is expected to return to world title action soon.
Paul and Callum are also due for world title shots in the next 12 months.
Hearn plans to host a show in the Salle des Etoiles venue in Monte Carlo, Monaco on November with an announcement expected next week.
