Jarrell Miller has given new meaning to being a heavy favorite.

The heavyweight contender weighed in Friday at a career-high 317 pounds, an inordinate 90 pounds more than Tomasz Adamek (227), for their 12-round fight Saturday night in Chicago. The 30-year-old Miller (21-0-1, 18 KOs) weighed roughly 13 pounds more for this bout than his previous appearance, a 12-round, unanimous-decision defeat of France’s Johann Duhaupas on April 28 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn (304¼ pounds).

The 41-year-old Adamek (53-5, 31 KOs) has won three straight fights since Eric Molina knocked him out in the 10th round of their April 2016 fight. Miller still is listed as a 30-1 favorite or more by most Internet sports books.

The Miller-Adamek match will be part of DAZN’s live stream from DePaul University’s Wintrust Arena. The six boxers scheduled to compete in the three other featured fights Saturday night made weight Friday.

Las Vegas’ Jessie Vargas (28-2-1, 10 KOs) weighed in at the welterweight limit of 147 pounds for his 12-round main event versus Thomas Dulorme (24-3, 16 KOs). Dulorme, a Las Vegas resident from Puerto Rico, got on the Illinois State Athletic Commission’s scale at 146¼ pounds.

Russian knockout artist Artur Beterbiev (12-0, 12 KOs) officially weighed 174½ pounds for his optional IBF light heavyweight title defense against England’s Callum Johnson (17-0, 12 KOs). The 33-year-old Beterbiev is an 11-1 favorite over the relatively untested Johnson, who weighed in at exactly the same amount as Beterbiev (174½).

Also Friday, Los Angeles’ Daniel Roman (25-2-1, 9 KOs) weighed in at 121½ pounds for his WBA world super bantamweight title defense against Gavin McDonnell (20-1-2, 5 KOs). England’s McDonnell officially weighed 121½ pounds, too.

DAZN will start streaming the four aforementioned fights at 9 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT. Undercard coverage of DAZN’s 10-bout card is set to start at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.
