Ivan Calderon is dropping weight slowly and expects to regain the title of the WBO, at 105 pounds, when he faces the reigning champion Raul Garcia (30-1, 18KOs) on October 28th in Puerto Rico, during the annual convention of the WBO. Calderon (24-2-1, 6KOs) said the minor layoff after suffering his second KO loss to Giovani Segura, did wonders for his body and his motivation.

"I'm working now to easily reach that weight. And I am training for Garcia or anyone in that division. We will show that I still have it. I don't feel like my age. I feel like the world champion of Puerto Rico who took the titles at 105 and 108-pounds. Last week I was at 127-pounds and now I'm at 122 ½ and end of the month will be at 118 and within the remaining two months I will arrive safely at 105 pounds," Calderon said.
