The next chapter of Mexico vs. Puerto Rico will take place on August 30 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, when WBO junior flyweight champion Ivan Calderon defends his title against Mexican puncher Hugo Cazares. The two fought an exciting twelve-round battle last August, also in Puerto Rico, and saw Calderon get off the floor in the eight-round to pull out a split-decision to capture his current title from Cazares.

Cazares says that Antonio Margarito's knockout win over undeated Puerto Rican superstar Miguel Cotto has given him more motivation to win the rematch.

"The triumph by Margarito will give me the motivation to shut the mouth of Calderon, who has said that Puerto Rican boxers are dominating the Mexicans", said Cazares to Primera Hora. "I say this without any intentions of underestimating Puerto Rican boxers, but this is the time of the Mexicans. What Margarito did against Cotto filled me with pride. He is a great friend and a great champion."

Margarito is expected to sit ringside for the event to show his support for Cazares. The tough Mexican plans to make it another tough, physical battle.

"I already feel about 85% ready. I've completed twelve-round sparring sessions and right now we have to work down the weight," Cazares said. "We are going to bring a hard fight to Calderon. I am going to very prepared since this could be my last fight at 108-pounds. Later on I will see what the future holds for me."
