Former champion Humberto Soto has started light training for a planned return on December 3rd. The event will likely take place in Soto's hometown of Los Mochis, promoted by Baja Boxing, and televised by Televisa. Three opponents are being considered but no names were disclosed by his manager Antonio Lozada Sr.

"To fight in Los Mochis is always very motivating, it's my house and I always feel the love of my people. Closing the year at home would be very special, but I can also say that I've fought twice in Cozumel and Cancun and the people treated me very well. I am indebted to the public in Quintana Roo for the support they have given to me, so if we returned there on the 3rd of December it would be very positive," Soto said.

Soto (56-7-2, 33 KOs) started doing his morning runs in Tijuana and in the afternoon he takes part in various exercises in the gym.

"I feel very good. We are already deeply involved in the gym. I want to finish this year with a landslide victory, because there are great plans for me next year. My goal is to get my fourth world title in a fouth different," Soto said.
