Last Saturday night in Las Vegas, former multi-division champion Humberto Soto scored a ten round decision over dangerous John Molina at the MGM Grand. The fight took place on the Mayweather-Maidana II undercard.

Golden Boy Promotions felt Soto looked very good against Molina and now the promotional firm is reportedly interested in matching Soto in a year-end battle with Mauricio "Maestro" Herrera on December 6th, as part of the undercard to Saul Alvarez's return at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Soto has won his last seven fights in a row and has a record of 65 wins, 8 losses, two draws and 35 knockouts while Herrera just won interim-junior welterweight title of the World Boxing Association from Johan Perez. The win raised his record to 21-4 with 7 knockouts.
