British boxer Gary Corcoran has made it clear that he won't tolerate any roughhouse tactics from WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn.

The two boxers will collide on December 13th in Brisbane, Australia - with Horn making the first defense of the world title that he captured back in July from eight division king Manny Pacquiao.

After that fight, Pacquiao and his camp were furious with the officiating - claiming that Horn was a very dirty boxer by using his head during the fight, throwing elbows, throwing low blows and holding down Pacquiao's head.

By the end of the contest, Pacquiao had two serious cuts, above both eyes, from head clashes. Horn was also cut from other head clashes that occurred during the bout.

Corcoran said he would not tolerate any dirty tactics from Horn. And went even further to state that he would "bite" Horn if the Australian superstar intentionally used his head in the fight.

"I won't headbutt Jeff back, I'll bite him,'' Corcoran said. "I have bullied bigger boys than Jeff in previous fights. I've trained for 12 hard rounds and he hasn't fought anyone as big or young as me.''

Horn was not very happy with the "dirty fighter" claims being thrown in in his direction by the challenger.

"The way I fight in close it's just natural that sometimes your heads collide," Horn explained.  "I got accused of butting against Manny Pacquiao but I was the one who came off worse. I got a bad cut over my eye when our heads banged together, but the head clash was accidental."

Horn's promoter Dean Lonergan was furious after he was informed of Corcoran's threat.

He already informed the local officials and the sanctioning body to keep a close eye on Corcoran.

Lonergan fears that his boxer will suffer an injury similar to heavyweight great Evander Holyfield, who had a piece of his ear bitten off by Mike Tyson during their infamous "bite fight" rematch in 1997.

"This cowardly type of behaviour will not be tolerated," Lonergan said. "Biting opponents might be acceptable in the traveller community in the UK but it will not be acceptable in the WBO world welterweight contest.

"The last thing Horn or boxing needs is an overzealous and jealous UK traveller biting half his ear off, or God forbid, biting off his nose. This simply won't be tolerated and I have a duty to protect my fighter; I am now questioning the wisdom of bringing to Australia a man with such barbaric intentions. I now see why Corcoran was keen to have the fight in a carpark if these are the tactics he wants to use."
