The team behind Panamanian boxer Guillermo "Felino" Jones have submitted a formal request to open the 'B' sample of his pre-fight drug test, which was taken in Russia prior to the canceled fight with WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev on April 25th.
The Legal Committee of the World Boxing Association reported that the procedure will be to fulfill the request, and also that it would be necessary for Jones and his team to be present when the test protocol was performed.
Samples were taken and analyzed by Switzerland's Swiss Laboratory for Doping Analyses (LAD). Jones' 'A' sample test positive for banned weight cutting agent Furosemide, the same substance which Jones tested positive for after knocking out Lebedev in 2013.
