According to the Daily Mirror, super middleweight contender George Groves (19-2, 15 KOs) will potentially return to action on a date in mid-September, and then come back on a date in December against the winner of the upcoming rematch between WBC super middleweight champion Sakio Bika (32-5-3, 21 KOs) and undefeated Anthony Dirrell (26-0-1, 22 KOs).

Groves, who a few months ago signed a promotional contract with European powerhouse Sauerland Event, is looking to get back on track after losing back to back fights to domestic rival Carl Froch, who holds the IBF/WBA 'regular' titles at 168-pounds.

After 80,000 fans came to Wembley Stadium to watch his rematch with Froch, it won't be hard for Sauerland to stage an event at any venue in the UK with Groves as the headliner. The paper states that Groves' preference is to face Bika, should he win on August 16th.

Besides Groves, Sauerland also promotes two other major names at the weight, WBO champion Arthur Abraham and Danish superstar Mikkel Kessler, and next year one of them could be matched against Groves in a major event.
