Granat To Train at Kronk With Banks, Tony Yoka Back on April 7

Swedish heavyweight Adrian Granat heads to Detroit and the Kronk Gym to train with Johnathon Banks ahead of the fight for the vacant EU title against Otto Wallin announced for April 21 in Sundsvall (Sweden), writes Sydsvenskan.

Banks and Granat first met in 2015 when Adrian was sparring with Wladimir Klitschko. Banks also trains Cecilia Braekhus.

Also on the bill is a light heavyweight fight between Sven Fornling, 13-1 and reigning IBF Baltic and Swedish champ, against newly crowned Czech champ Karel Horejsek, 11-7-1.

French super middleweight Hadillah Mohoumadi have now relinquished the EBU title and official challenger Stas Kashtanov has a new a co-challenger in German Robin Krasniqi.

The EBU have set March 5 as deadline for agreements or purse bids. Krasniqi lost a WBO eliminator last year to Arthur Abraham but came earlier this month with a points win over Bartlomiej Grafka. Kashtanov, a former WBA interim ruler, has only fought twice in the last two years.

French heavyweight Tony Yoka, 3-0, takes on compatriot Cyril Leonet, 12-9-3, on April 7 at the Palais des Sports de la porte de Versailles near Paris. Leonet has been a pro since 2006 and has won and lost the national title a few times at this point.

As previously reported on BoxingScene.com: Kerman Lejarraga, 24-0, and Bradley Skeete, 27-1, clash for the vacant EBU welterweight title on March 24 in Bilbao (Spain) on a MGZ Promotion. Skeete replace Ahmed El Mousaoui, who relinquished his position as official challenger last week.

IN OTHER NEWS: Former NABA, WBC Latin Champion and WBO #15 contender Jonathan “Bomba” Gonzalez of Caguas, Puerto Rico arrived today in Miami, Florida where he will be a special guest of the popular show Titulares y Mas on Telemundo tonight with host Karim Mendiburu at 11:35 PM to talk about his upcoming fight this Friday, February 23 at the Osceola Heritage Park Events Center in Kissimmee, FL .

Gonzalez will face world title challenger Ricardo "Meserito" Rodriguez of Mexico in the main event with a WBO regional flyweight title at stake. The clash will mark the spring season opener of the Boxeo TELEMUNDO series and will be televised live by Telemundo Deportes at 11:35 PM.
