Golez Promises Pacquiao Attack To KO Edgar Sosa in Four

By Ernesto Castellanos, notifight.com

Unon his arrival to Mexico City, Filipino flyweight Roilo Golez (13-7, 5KOs) spoke to reporters at the airport and promised that WBC Internation champion Edgar Sosa (43-7, 26KOs) "would fall in four rounds." Golez faces Sosa on Saturday night at Foro Planco in Mexico City. His last time in Mexico, Golez was stopped in five rounds by Sammy Gutierrez.

With his hair dyed blond, the Filipino boxer added - "I know enough about Sosa to know what kind of fighter he is. Sosa is a skilled boxer, with a lot of speed and he punches in bursts. But he also has shortcomings. He gets hit, and there is hope knock him out around the fourth round. My game plan will be to attack from the start, but if the knockout doesn't come - I'm prepared to box and secure the victory on points."

He was accompanied by his promoter, Brico Santrig. A team of staff members who work with Mexcain promoter Ricardo Maldonado took Golez to a downtown hotel. The Filipino said he admires his country's icon, Manny Pacquiao, who influenced 24-year-old's style of fighting. He promised to use Pacquiao-like rapid attacks on Sosa.
