WBA regular super middleweight champion Giovanni De Carolis (24-6) will reportedly make the first defence of the title he won from Vincent Feigenbutz against Tyron Zeuge (18-0) on July 23 in Berlin.

Zeuge is promoted by Sauerland Event and trained by WBA regular light heavyweight champ Juergen Braehmer. He has since long been hailed as the best of the new generation of Sauerland fighters, but spent a full year recovering from various injuries. Zeuge came back Saturday night though and outscored Ruben Acosta.

For De Carolis this will be his third straight fight in Germany.

Russian Pushka Promotions and Paimander Sports join forces for a show on April 22 in Tammerfors (Finland). Headlining the show is light heavyweight Dayron Lester (4-0) who takes on Konstantin Piternov (20-8) in an eight rounder.

Lester is from Cuba and claims around 300 amateur fights and is based in Finland through marriage to a Finnish lady. Word is he is for real and ready to go. He´s managed by Markus Lammi and trained by Kalle Helenius.

This show was first set for February 12 but was for various reasons postponed. The headliner then was a fight at welterweight between Jussi Koivula and Roman Seliverstov.

As things are now Koivula will fight on the undercard to Gianluca Branco vs Leonard Bundu for the vacant EBU title on the same night as the Tammerfors show in Florence (Italy). Persistant rumors have it that Branco will pull out and Koivula, # 20 in the EBU ratings, step in.

Kazach cruiserweight Issa Akberbayev (16-0) returns after a brief layoff on April 30 in Buchholz (Germany) and defends the GBC title against Venezuelan Williams Ocando (15-3).

Akberbayev´s return was first set for Gladsaxe, Denmark, then moved to Hamburg and now to Buchholz
