GEORGE GROVES has told Carl Froch he will silence him once and for all by becoming world champion this weekend.
The Londoner takes on WBC super-middleweight Badou Jack here in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
But former foe Froch has claimed he is a tarnished fighter since the Nottingham ex-world champion knocked him out in May 2014.
That was the second time they fought with Froch also winning the first fight with a controversial stoppage.
But Groves has told Froch – who is now a TV pundit – he will shut him up this weekend.
‘Saint George’ said: “I need to prove him wrong on Saturday, he says that about a lot of fighters.
“I will do my talking in the ring, he is a retired fighter, just a pundit, all he is now is an opinion.
“I am not fussed about what Carl or anyone else for that matter has to say.
“I have faced a lot of criticism in my career but more so over the last couple of years and it has never stopped me going forward.
“It has not stopped me getting in big fights and it won't stop me on Saturday becoming world champion.
“I could not care about what Carl or anybody else says about me or my fights.”
Groves’ brutal KO by Froch left many wondering would he be the same fighter again but he has responded with two wins to put him in a mandatory position to fight Jack.
And the Londoner believes beating Jack to become world champion will finally condemn the nasty defeat to history.
He said: “It was tough to get over but Saturday night when I become world super-middleweight champion will prove that I am over it.”
