Gennady Golovkin Eyes Daniel Geale For Fall Unification

By Per Ake Persson

The team behind WBA standard middleweight champ Gennady Golovkin have offered newly crowned IBF king Daniel Geale a substantial payday for a unification fight. Golovkin must of course win his upcoming defense against Kassim Ouma, scheduled for June 17, but his promotional team is claiming that he will be ready for a showdown against Geale by September in Kazakhstan.

As for Golovkin vs. Hassan N´Dam, the WBA's interim ruler, this fight would then happen after the fight against Geale.

Should Golovkin vs. Geale happen, and not end in a draw, then the WBA could end up having two super champions [Felix Sturm being the other] in the same weight division - and one interim ruler.

Ouma's going to wipe the floor with him anyway so we won't need to worry.

The WBA already order Ndam vs Golovkin, Golovking might get stripped. But Degale is a better opponent than Ndam, and The guy that should be figjting Golovking is Sturm!
