Gabe Rosado (23-10, 13 KOs) has promised a bloody war when he steps in the ring with Martin Murray (34-4-1, 16 KOs) on April 22 in Liverpool.

Both boxers have some some very big names during their time, including middleweight king Gennady Golovkin. Rosado took a lot of punishment until his corner stopped the contest when he faced Golovkin 2013 in New York City. Murray lasted eleven rounds with GGG, but took a lot of damage and suffered the first and only stoppage loss of his pro career.

Since the loss to Golovkin, Murray also suffered defeats to Arthur Abraham and George Groves. He returned last November to pick up decision win over undefeated Nuhu Lawal.

For his part, Rosado fought a who's who of top talent but lost to most of them - including Peter Quillin, Jermell Charlo, David Lemieux, and last September to Willie Monroe Jr.

This is a crossroads contest at the core, with the loser likely reaching the end of the road when it comes to top competition.

Rosado is looking to go all-out from the opening bell and aims to avoid any possibility of controversy by knocking Murray out.  He believes Murray is more shop-worn and ready for the taking.

"I want to win the UK fans over and put on a show and make a statement," Rosado told Sky Sports. "I want to win by knockout. Against Martin Murray you are going to get blood and sweat and it's going to be a great fight. A war. It will kind of remind me of - even though trying to live up to it is crazy - a Ward-Gatti-style fight! I am Gatti, until the second fight and then I am Gatti in the rematch as well!"

"I am excited about coming to the UK and I feel a big win over Martin Murray will open a lot of opportunities. They are going to see a different level of speed and punching power and better defence. I am not going to run and I am not going to retreat. I am just going to stand in the middle and let my boxing skills and punching power talk. You will see the difference.

"We have both been in great fights but I think I have a lot more mileage left in the tank. He has more miles; he is older and he's dropping back down, so I am looking to capitalise on that and give it one more go to get the world title."
