Fury on Wilder: Klitschko Hit Really Hard Too, It Didn't Affect Me!

Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder look set to fight by the end of the year – and the Gypsy King has been talking up the bout while rival Anthony Joshua prepares to take on Alexander Povetkin.

The Mancunian was greeted by WBC heavyweight champion Wilder after his victory over Francesco Pianeta in Belfast.

The 30-year-old held the IBF, WBA, IBO and WBO titles after defeating Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

After three years out of the sport, the Gypsy King’s comeback is in full swing – and he has posted a video on Instagram explaining his motivation to fight the hard-hitting American.

In the clip, Fury says: “I keep seeing and hearing a lot of stuff by a lot of people saying Wilder’s got the ‘murder power’.

“He’s got this knockout power and I’m taking this fight for a few quid.

“I can confirm right here right now that none of it is true.

“Deontay Wilder has enormous power but so do all heavyweights. Klitschko hit really hard but it didn’t affect me."

And Fury went on to issue a huge update on the proposed bout, saying he is not motivated financially.

“As for cashing out on a fight, a few more million ain’t going to make or break me – let me tell you that, boys and girls," he added.

“I wouldn’t lose a fight for £100m, never mind the few million I’m going to get for Wilder.

“It’s not about money for me. There’s plenty of people out there with money but for me it’s about boxing and winning the final belt.

“After boxing, what’s left? No boxing, no life.

“That’s what Canelo’s [Alvarez] hat said and I think it’s very, very true. I’m in it to win it, to be the best.”

It's getting cold in Big Bear, the leaves are changing color. The running is good, less snakes. A guy got mauled by a bear last month, but he went looking for the bear, sooo... when is Fury coming?

Yeah, Wlad never landed a big punch on Fury. Fury moves well, he's slick. And Wlad just couldn't get off. Even the Wlad against Joshua couldn't get off. Wlad from 3,4,5 years earlier would have finished Joshua that round. Wlad…
